(Note: This page used to be in its own folder called "Topics of Discussion" but after some thought, I started putting each individual "topic of discussion" file into the category folder which best fit it (e.g., Policy, Business, Technical). Because of that, I decided to put this file, which describes options for how to best frame discussions, in the "Administrivia" folder.)
I've never been on a debate team and never taken a debate class, so I've never been told how to best frame a debate question to facilitate the arguments for and against the topic.
If anybody has experience in this area, please give us the benefit of your expertise and help us frame the questions in a tried-and-true way to get the most of peoples' ideas.
