Page history last edited by Ken Davidian 15 years, 10 months ago

This page is intended to show my appreciation and give the appropriate level of acknowledgment to the people contributing to this wiki, whether directly or indirectly.

I'm defining "indirect contributions" as those we receive simply by linking to an individual's or organization's pre-existing web pages. "Direct contributions" are those made by individuals or organizations directly to this wiki.

As of this writing (7 June 2008) the vast majority of contributions are indirect. The most notable to whom I would like to give credit include the following:

  1. Clark Lindsey of HobbySpace and RLVNews

In 1999, Clark began a set of web pages called HobbySpace that addressed (and still addresses) the same issues we see today of encouraging the general public's support of space-related activities. His original posting of HobbySpace's purpose has been updated and he has been collecting, organizing, and analyzing about all aspects of space, inculding commercial space, ever since. HobbySpace recently was joined by a sister-blog called RLVNews.

If you haven't yet, please check out all those links on the left-hand-side nav-bar of the HobbySpace or RLVNews websites... you'll be amazed at what you find! Recently, Clark was recognized for his efforts, and he deserved it. I really appreciate the work he does because not only is he a really smart person, he's nice, he's rationale, and he "gets it". Keep up the good work, Clark, and I hope you don't mind me linking to your pages all over this wiki.

By the way, if you want to hear Clark interviewed on "The Space Show", here are links to his appearances on 13 Aug 2002, 24 Jan 2004, and most recently, 17 Dec 2007.

Below is a listing of the direct contributors who deserve special mention because of their contributions to this wiki:

  1. Michael Mealling of Masten Space Systems

Michael posesses a wealth of web2.0 know-how and has brought that at the very early stages to this wiki. Michael began contributing to this wiki within minutes of its creation, and I really appreciate his help. I'm learning as I go with this wiki, and Michael, whether he knows it or not, is one of my teachers. Thanks Mike!

In addition to his many editorial contributions to this wiki site, Michael Mealling has also unexpectedly, without any solicitation, and with no financial benefit to me (semi-necessary for ethical reasons) upgraded this wiki site to Silver status!!!! Thanks Mike! You have provided a great service to this community, and are putting your money where your mouth is! You're the best!
